This summer our team took the 2nd annual 8-week Give Back Kansas Challenge and got our team back out volunteering our time, talent and treasurers.
Grateful for the flexibility and support of our leaders, our team volunteered 195 hours during the 8-week challenge. We volunteered at our churches, schools, coached sports, taught Sunday school, the Wichita Boy Scouts of America Boy Scouts of America, Wichita Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House Charities Wichita, Sunlight Children’s Services, Rotary Club, and multiple board commitments. Every hour counted.
As the winner of our division we received a $1,000 donation to the charity of our choice. We are passionate about the children of our communities we live and work and selected Sunlight Children’s Services. They are making a daily difference in the lives of many children and their families.
Sunlight Children Services mission is to provide resources and facilities that support and protect abused and neglected children and their families.
