Position Title:   National Director of Sales (Full-Time, Exempt)             

ROLE

The National Director of Sales is Responsible for overseeing sustained revenue growth across all hotels within the TGCHM portfolio. A key focus will be identifying national opportunities while training and supporting all sales activities.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Wichita based role with 75% travel
  • Create a pipeline of qualified business across all the locations managed by TGCHM
  • Develop relationships with hospitality decision makers
  • Manage leads as identified for all of the TGHM hotels
  • Train General Managers and Directors of Sales on the most effective methods to identify extended stay business and gain bookings
  • Meet with those responsible for sales activity at each TGCHM hotel regularly to discuss strategy and results
  • Work closely with Revenue Management to ensure strategy is implemented and discuss results
  • Create action plan and specific focus on hotels that are under performing
  • Start a plan to proactively address hotels where performance is in question
  • Participate in joint sales and revenue calls with the General Manager
  • Cultivate lead sources
  • Establish and maintain close contact with accounts through phone calls, tours, appointments, correspondence, and entertainment. Assess future and current needs of the guests
  • Represent TGC in National Sales efforts
  • Work with Director of Marketing and Culture to address any guest concerns that may impact sales
  • Meet with the DOOs regularly to review and discuss GM performance related to occupancy, revenue, guest satisfaction and hotel presentation
  • Interaction with guests while visiting to get direct feedback
  • Any reasonable request by management that you are capable of performing

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four year College Degree is preferred but not required
  • Proven sales experience, consistently meeting or exceeding goals
  • Minimum of 2 years proven sales experience, consistently meeting or exceeding goals, experience in a business –to-business sales environment
  • Problem solving, Organizations, Interpersonal, Communication, Typing, and Computer Skills

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

  • Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly
  • Ability to hear average conversations at a standard level in an office environment
  • The employee is regularly required to travel and move about the hotel throughout the day
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to type and maneuver a mouse
  • Must have a valid drivers license

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • General office environment with climate control and adequate lighting.
