TGC Group Celebrates the Opening of Kentucky’s First StudioRES by Marriott

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – TGC Group is proud to announce the successful opening of StudioRES by Marriott Louisville, the first StudioRES by Marriott in the state of Kentucky. The hotel officially welcomed its first guests on June 25, 2026, with a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting celebration held on July 16 alongside community leaders, business partners, Marriott representatives, and members of the Louisville Jeffersontown community.

The opening marks another exciting milestone for TGC Group as its 41st hotel and represents the company’s continued investment in developing high quality hospitality experiences across the United States.

As Marriott International’s newest extended stay brand, StudioRES by Marriott was created to meet the growing demand for affordable, thoughtfully designed accommodations for guests staying weeks or even months at a time. The brand combines modern design with the comforts of home, offering spacious studio suites with fully equipped kitchens, flexible living and work spaces, on site laundry facilities, a 24 hour fitness center, and inviting outdoor gathering areas.

“Opening Kentucky’s first StudioRES by Marriott is an exciting milestone for our team and another example of our commitment to developing hotels that meet the evolving needs of today’s travelers,” said Nick Esterline, Founder and CEO of TGC Group. “We’re grateful to Marriott International, our development and construction teams, our hospitality associates, and the Louisville and Jeffersontown communities for their partnership throughout this project. We look forward to serving guests and becoming an active part of this community for years to come.”

The Grand Opening event celebrated not only the completion of the project but also the collaboration between TGC Group, Marriott International, local officials, contractors, and community partners who helped bring the hotel to life. Following remarks from company and community leaders, attendees gathered for an official ribbon cutting to commemorate the occasion.

The hotel is led by General Manager Juanita Rutledge and the TGC Hospitality Management team, who have been welcoming guests since opening day with the exceptional service and hospitality that define the TGC experience.

“Every new hotel represents more than a building,” said Jill Taylor, Vice President of Marketing and Culture for TGC Group. “It represents new jobs, new opportunities, new partnerships, and another opportunity to create memorable experiences for our guests. We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with the Louisville community.”

StudioRES by Marriott Louisville reflects TGC Group’s integrated approach to hospitality. From development and construction to hotel operations, the company continues to build destinations where guests, associates, and communities can thrive.

As TGC Group continues to expand its national portfolio, the opening of StudioRES by Marriott Louisville reinforces the company’s commitment to thoughtful development, operational excellence, and long term partnerships with the communities it serves.
